Teaching

My teaching practice is based on critical and speculative thinking,  informed by my experience working in design research and as an industrial designer. This enables me to explore, together with students, a spectrum of perspectives from critical/speculative to potentially viable. I see design as a practice that often oscillates between these two poles.

I consider teaching a space in which we collectively and critically explore ideas, and I aim to motivate students to become comfortable with experimentation in order to develop independent learning. I approach students with an open mind, where much of the work relies on listening to their ideas, intentions and perspectives in order to give appropriate guidance and meaningful feedback.
